Dear IMHA Member.

As you will have noticed from the last edition, I have taken over as editor of the newsletter, and am now writing to ask you for your contributions.
We are very grateful to those who contribute regularly already, but I think all of our members would really benefit from more news from one another, whether it be changes in your local maritime administration, conferences or training options, local programmes for seafarers' health, current outbreaks in your area, or other information of interest to seafarers and those who work with them.

I am particularly keen to publish some anonymised case reports, either from pre-employment exams, or those who have become sick or injured whilst at sea. Either a common problem with a twist, something rare or difficult to diagnose, or simply significant cases that have had a big impact on the seafarer in question might be helpful, as we can all learn from one anothers' experiences.

Please would you let me have your contributions or ideas for other newsletter sections as soon as possible
(the deadline is 1 October) - I look forward to hearing from you!
